Hello Big Internet world! Today is the first official day of my start-up business, "Kalea's Closet: Quality Handmade Hair Bows & Accessories." My name is Joy, and I am a young mom of two of the most beautiful children you have ever seen. My youngest is Xavier, a beautiful green-eyed, blonde-haired chunk of an almost 9-month-old boy. We call him our "Golden Boy." My oldest, Kalea, the company's namesake, is a dirty-blonde, kinky-haired, deep brown-eyed, princess of a 3 1/2 year old. She is my inspiration for this business. As a young mom, I want my daughter to always look cute and feel cute. If I had to choose between buying something for her or me, I would always choose her.
With her golden-brown skin, she looks good in anything, the only problem I've had is finding cute hair accessories to go with her outfits. When we lived in Utah, there were many little craft stores that sold handmade bows and I could conveniently pick them up whenever I pleased. We recently moved to Denver, Co and I have had no luck finding any such places. So, this past weekend, I decided to get some ribbon myself and get bow-making! After all, I've always been "crafty." I successfully made 5 bows this weekend. I brought them into my work today and sold all of them! I even had to tell my co-workers that they couldn't buy the bows until I took pictures of them first! I will do that tonight and post them soon.
